This Privacy Policy explains how QuantAnalyst (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use QuantAnalyst and related websites and applications (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide directly
- Account information — your email address, password, and any name or username you provide.
- Uploaded content — images and screenshots you upload to the Service, including chart images from third-party platforms such as TradingView. To generate your analysis, these images are sent to our third-party AI provider for processing (see Section 5, “How We Share Your Information”).
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited details such as the last four digits and billing ZIP.
- Communications — information you provide when you contact support or respond to surveys.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — features used, pages viewed, actions taken, and timestamps.
- Device and technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Process and analyze the content you upload in order to provide charting and analysis features, including by transmitting it to our third-party AI provider;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Authenticate users and secure accounts;
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service;
- Send administrative and, where permitted, marketing messages (you can opt out of marketing);
- Analyze usage to improve and develop the Service;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service), consent (for marketing and certain cookies), and legal obligation.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:
- AI analysis provider — to generate chart analysis, the images you upload are transmitted to our AI provider, Anthropic, PBC, which processes them to return the analysis results. We transmit only the chart image and the minimal context needed to perform the analysis; we do not send your account or payment information. Anthropic’s processing of this data is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
- Service providers — vendors who help us operate the Service, including hosting providers, our payment processor (Stripe), our analytics provider (Google Analytics), and email delivery services, under contracts limiting their use of the data.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- With your consent — for any other sharing you authorize.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and uploaded content for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at usequantanalyst@gmail.com.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where required, through our cookie consent banner.
Do Not Track. QuantAnalyst does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
California residents. Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access or deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us at usequantanalyst@gmail.com.
EEA/UK residents. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact us at usequantanalyst@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at usequantanalyst@gmail.com and we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
If we transfer personal data outside your country or region, including from the EEA or UK to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Third-Party Links
The Service may link to third-party sites or services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to them; review their privacy policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via in-app notice and update the “Last Updated” date above.
